CyberSeP, a strategic alliance between NTS, CABEM, NQA and Kansas State University, invites you to attend their first cybersecurity conference taking place October 26-27, 2011 at the new Kansas State University campus in Olathe, KS. The theme for this year’s event is “Cybersecurity: Challenges, Opportunities and Collaboration.”
Pointing to a dramatic increase in the number of cyber-attacks in the past ten years, the Obama administration has made public proposed legislation to protect the nation’s computer networks. The proposal authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to coordinate with the private-sector and state and local governments in monitoring “critical infrastructure,” including electricity grids, financial markets, and transportation networks that are increasingly online.
At this year’s conference, senior executives and IT security leaders from industry, government, and academia will discuss the state of cybersecurity today, and the techniques and technologies and cooperative efforts that can be leveraged to enhance security.
The conference will address the needs and interests of a broad range of key stakeholders in IT security:
- IT security strategists, decision makers and influencers in business and government
- Implementers and managers of enterprise cybersecurity
- System Administrators and security practioners
- Researchers and developers in the academic cybersecurity community
- Makers and influencers of Federal civilian and military IT security policy
